The Giver of Life.

"...It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35b

My thoughts take me to Christmas, my favorite time of the year. The smell of the tree, beautiful lights, ornaments and eggnog (latte’s). A time of joy and giving to celebrate the birth of Christ. Our Father gave us the ultimate gift of life by sending His son. I love this time of year for many reasons, with one being the giving of gifts.

I love to give people that personal gift or special present and to watch their face light up with joy as they open it. Now think of our Father as He watches many here on His earth deny the blessed gift of His son! No smiles, no rejoicing, only tears of sadness. God sent His son, Jesus Christ, to you as a special gift. If you have accepted that gift, He gave you another-the Holy Spirit. The Spirit leads you and directs your path from that moment on, if you surrender your will to Him.

If you surrender your will and life to the working and leading of the Holy Spirit, you too can be a giver of life. Pray and ask the Spirit to lead you to those people that need the Love of Christ. You will find that there is no greater role to play on this earth, than to be a messenger of Christ.

Do you hear the cry, the call to be givers of life? There are no special rules, "way" or guidelines to share Christ. Though there is one requirement, LOVE. Without love, motivations based in LOVE, giving is pointless. "The fruit of the Spirit is LOVE..." Pray and ask the Lord to give you His eyes and His heart for those hurting. We are flawed people and the only way you can love someone is through Christ, you can’t do it on your own strength.

Let this be your prayer today:
Dear Lord, I cannot do anything for your glory without it being founded in LOVE. Lord, fill me with your LOVE, for my love is small and weak. I want to be a giver of life, an ambassador for Christ, to bring a smile to your face. Use me today to reach out in LOVE to someone in need of your gift of life. Be my words, be my heart, my motivation and my actions. I want to give back to you Father, I choose to make myself available. Take me to where you are working and the need is most. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Do you want to be a giver? Than ask to be filled with HIS LOVE.

In Him, "E"
