"He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise." Proverbs 15:31

Where does your knowledge come from? Books, people or television? How do you know what to believe or what to trust? Are you more knowledgeable about things of the world or that of the Bible? We have many questions and seek many answers.

Listening to the Father, through the teachings of the Holy Spirit, time in His word or through fellowship and prayer, is the beginning of our journey towards wisdom. If we look to anything but the Father for our wisdom, we are likely to be led in the opposite or a different direction.

The Lord is developing in us the qualities and characters that we need to accomplish the "things" in our lives. Think of Abraham. The Lord promised Abraham a son. Abraham had to wait 25 years before he received what the Lord had promised. Why? Its true what your thinking, an example of Faith on Abrahams part! But what you may not realize, is that it was God who was building father qualities and characteristics (wisdom) in Abraham before He was to give him a son. Abraham wasnt ready when God first made the promise, He needed to gain wisdom.

So how do we gain wisdom. THROUGH RELATIONSHIP!

If I had something to teach you, you would need to be in the same room to HEAR what I had to say. You cant gain wisdom, unless you go to HIM and SPEND TIME to HEAR what HE HAS TO SAY.

Let this be your prayer today:
Dear Lord, I want to walk among the wise. I desire the wisdom of your Holy teachings. May you burn in me the desire for your WORD, TIME WITH YOU, PRAISING, PRAYING and FELLOWSHIPING. I desire to be a good listener, for if I listen I will learn. Build in me the character and qualities needed to glorify you, to give you the praises for the life youve given me. I thank you for the river of life that flows from your heart. May its waters pour out of my heart to touch multitudes, bringing them to the loving knowledge of Jesus Christ. In His name, Amen.
To gain, you must be willing to go. To learn, you must be willing to grow. To soe, you must be willing to know.

Go...grow...know!

In Him, "E"
