Serve Them!

"The greatest among you will be your servant." Matthew 23:11

The price of greatness is responsibility! As the years pass by, the more responsibilities we obtain. The pressures continue to mount, as do the challenges. How do we deal with work, family, kids, school, sports, social life, etc? To answer that question you must look to how you were made, what makes up who you are.

The Lord created us with a specific purpose in mind, to glorify Him! He gave each of us specific gifts by which to help achieve this goal. What are your gifts? Some of you are wonderful teachers, prayer warriors, comforters, the list can go on and on. What the Lord has given you, is your responsibility. You are responsible to use them to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ!

Do you want greatness in your life? Joy? Peace? Happiness? Then begin to take responsibility for what and where the Lord has placed you. At work, use your gifts of encouragement. At home, use your gift of biblical knowledge and teach your children. In sports, use your gift of courtesy and respect. Make sense yet? Christ gives you these gifts to glorify himself and bring others to His saving grace. These gifts are not necessarily the Spiritual Gifts talked about in 1 Corinthians, though some due tie together, but expressions and actions! All things, expressions and actions, are gifts that can be used to glorify God.

What does all this mean? Well, if you have been given a family, a job, a friend or loved-one than SERVE THEM!

So how do we begin all this? Acknowledge that youre here for a purpose, that purpose being to serve (to glorify the Lord!). Secondly, serve using the gifts HE has given you. Seek Him and ask Him where He wants you to serve. And finally, if you are seeking greatness, joy, peace and happiness, the place it is found is in SERVING OUR LORD!

Remember, in HIM all things are possible and through HIM all things flow.

Let this be your prayer today:
Dear Lord, I come to you humbly asking that you create a servants heart within me. Today, I take responsibility for the things you have given me, knowing that they are a gift from you. In all things let me serve with a pure heart and motivation. I seek to glorify you through the life I live, and acknowledge that this can only be achieved by serving. Break me of any pride or selfishness that may hinder my service. I love you Lord and praise you for your victory in my life. May you be who the world sees in me today! In Jesus name, Amen.
Let go and let GOD! Lets serve today!

In Him, "E"
