How Real Is God To You? Part One

If you were asked how or why you know God is real, what would you
say? In the same manner, if you had to put God on trial for His
existence, could you find enough evidence to convict Him?
These may sound like ridiculous questions, challenging questions, or
even questions that you aren't expecting to hear. But God has been
doing some very powerful things in my life lately that prove He IS Real!
If He wasn't real, our beliefs and values would be useless. We don't
want to pray to something that doesn't exist. But God does exist, and
He DOES hear our prayers!
Somehow I feel this is what I should begin writing on for a while, so I
ask that all of you would be praying that God would give me the words
to say and that each of us could feel the presence of God even
stronger in our lives!
Psalms 19:[1] The heavens are telling of the glory of God; And there
expanse is declaring the work of His hands. [2] Day to day pours forth
speech, And night to night reveals knowledge. [3] There is no speech,
nor are there words; Their voice is not heard. [4] Their line [or sound]
has gone out through all the earth, And their utterances to the end of
the world. In them He has placed a tent for the sun, [5] Which is as a
bridegroom coming out of his chamber; It rejoices as a strong man to
run his course. [6] Its rising is from one end of the heavens, And its
circuit to the other end of them; And there is nothing hidden from its
heat (NASB).
For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His
eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being
understood through what has been made, so that they are without
excuse (Romans 1:20, NASB).
One of our easiest ways to defend God's existence is to look at
creation. Nature declares that there is a God!
As Carman explains in one of his songs, there is no way that earth
could be perfectly distanced from the sun and perfectly tilted so that
earth can support life unless God put it there. Everything in space is
spaced and put together just right declaring that God is real. Even the
earth itself has tremendous diversity and majesty that could not have
happened by accident. One line from Carman's song pops into my
head as I write this. It talks about the way the oceans are a cleansing
system for the planet. All animals, plants, people, and matter have
been perfectly distributed. It could not have happened by accident.
This is the simplest evidence of God. As I write the other parts of this, I
wish to share stories from scripture and from real life that prove God is
real. There are too many things happening together for it to be
coincidence. I also wish to add that if any of you have stories or
scripture to share as evidence that God is real that you email it to me. I
will try to plug it in wherever I see it is appropriate.
