Israel, Oh Israel

He came into this world of grief
So very long ago
He came to teach a way of life
So each of us could grow.

His words were sharp to those of sin
His message loud and clear
Repent your ways Oh Israel
For souls are far too dear.

But Israel, Oh Israel
Your ears they heard Him not
So suffering and trials to test
Became your life long lot.

The Word was heard by Gentile souls
And love for God did flow
It was ere meant in His great plan
That all should one day know.

Yes Jesus Christ the Savior King
Is God's Son living true
He came to Earth to win the hearts
Not owing Satan's due.

We who accept the Lord our God
And trust His words as true
Will be with Him forever more
For in God's truth we grew.
