Time to clean house

"Love must be sincere." Romans 12:9

A few weeks ago Mike, a reader, wrote to me about accountability. He said, "It is difficult to get to the level of accountability that is needed...in bible study, morning devotionals, etc." He went on to share a concern that "we need to get to a point in which we have frank honesty with each other. Good and bad. That we do not have an example to follow."

I usually would respond here, but I feel it’s time for you to respond instead. Not to me but to the Son of God, Jesus Christ.

I will render this though; If you strive for accountability in human relationships does it not start with your relationship with Christ? I believe accountability in life begins with our accountability with God. If you can’t be accountable to God, you never will attain that relationship on earth.

Look at your relationship with God, what is it like? Can you say you have accountability with Him? Do you try to hide your sins by not confessing them?

God desires our sincere love, this begins by believing in Jesus Christ. And then is followed by a sincere, open and honest life. How sincere are you?

Take some time and open your life up to God. I would love to hear from you, to pray for you and ask that you pray for me on this issue. God wants us all, sincerely.

I will write more on this later. I believe before we can even tackle this one, we must do some house cleaning first!

In Him, "E"
