More On How God Will Provide

Your story reminded me of a recent time that God provided for me. I and 40 other teens and leaders were planning to go to Eastern Carolina University for a denominational youth conference. The day before we were scheduled to leave the guy who was going to drive us down had a heart attack. What are the chances of something like that happening??? We thanked God, though, that it happened before, not during the trip. All day and night my youth pastor was calling around looking for another bus driver. He was unsuccessful in finding one, but he was able to get two 15 passenger vans from a church in our district. That was the first thing that God provided. The second was gas. You see, because we were hauling so many people in each van and and we were also hauling a trailer with all our luggage, we only got 5 miles per gallon of gas. So every 100 miles we were stopping for gas. One time it had been 100 miles since we last filled up and my youth pastor wanted to try to squeeze in an extra mile. As we were pulling off at an exit, we ran out of gas. Actually we heard a scratching noise and knew what it was! Fortunately the gas station was just a few hundred feet away from the ramp. Thanking and praising God we pulled into the station with a completely empty tank of gas. Man talk about the power of God! Isn't it great to see God work??? What an awesome God we serve!!!!
