To Love

By Gerald Sumeracki

I question what it is dear one, I really wonder why, What blessing do you bring to me, That makes me want to fly. It's true that you are quite a dream, Yes, all a man would need, The beauty of your open soul, Does call my heart to heed. Your gentleness, your reaching arms, Your willingness to care, Does give my heart a breath of life, To love and really dare. Your touch, your truth, your loving soul, All qualities profound, Make me so glad that you are you, And that we're both not bound. And so I thank you dearest one, For giving me the sky, And for the simple truth you've brought, A love until I die.
