The Tears She Cried

By Gerald Sumeracki

Her heart was filled with giving, With love beyond compare, A joyful, open, caring soul, A gift in life so rare. His world was full of taking, With lustful seeking gain, A selfish, hungry, prideful man, That love seemed not to tame. He crushed her heart of giving, He laughed her love to scorn, The caring soul she opened wide, He left for God to mourn. Her love did find forgiveness, Her love did find a way, The seed of God that held her soul, Grew stronger day by day. He saw what God was doing, He realized his sin, That heart he broke now healed his life, Her tears caused love to win.
